  • 1. Which devices will have access to Apple Pay?

    Apple Pay requires an Apple device with near field communication (NFC) capability. So, Apple Pay will be available on the new iPhone 6 and 6 plus for in-store and in-app purchases. Apple Pay is also available for the new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3, for in-app purchases only. Owners of the iPhone 5, 5c or 5s will have to purchase an Apple Watch to utilize the technology since it requires the NFC chip.

  • 4. What is a device account number when using Apple Pay?

    Your actual payment card number will not be stored on your iPhone. Your card number is replaced by a specific device account number when you add your credit or debit card to Apple Pay. Each time you add your card to a new device, you will receive a unique device account number. This number is what is actually sent instead of your actual card when used at participating merchants.

    Apple Pay will allow you to pay for your purchases with your iPhone® 6 or iPhone 6 Plus at participating merchants and more than 1 million locations in the United States by holding your iPhone near a contactless reader. You'll also be able to pay through certain iOS apps that support Apple Pay.

    Yes. When you use Apple Pay, your card number won't be stored on your phone or given to the merchant. A unique device account number is loaded into the secure element on the device. You can still enjoy all the benefits of your credit or debit card, including Visa’s Zero Liability policy that protects you from unauthorized purchases.

    Yes, you are able to add or remove any of your cards as you need. There are no obligations to use it, once you add a Bellco card to Apple Pay.
  • 9. When using Apple Pay, how will my privacy and personal information be protected?

    Apple Pay does not store your credit or debit card number on your device, so you will never reveal your name, card number or security code to participating merchants. By using a device account number as a substitute for your real credit or debit card number, you no longer need to share your personal account information when you shop.
